Welcome to the Peters Research Group at Penn State
The focus of our laboratory is the determine the biological roles of PPARs in toxicology, carcinogenesis and homeostasis, with a keen interest in identification and characterization of target genes regulated by these receptors. While the main focus of our laboratory is on the role of PPARβ, we also have active research examining interactions of PPARβ with other PPARs and other receptors.
If you have recently obtained your Ph.D. and are interested in joining our lab group, send Dr. Peters a cover letter summarizing your research experience and interests and how this would complement ongoing studies. In addition, please provide a C.V. and the names of three references. Postdoctoral fellows are required to obtain extramural funding, but funding is available for select positions.
